This has nothing to do with Arunraj but defintely a case of harassment by VMWare.
Another user http://communities.vmware.com/people/continuum from vmware community helped me 2 weeks ago remoting in my system to check what's wrong with drive.
He has same conclusion that it was used by after getting removed from ESXi as storage.
I hope VMWare will do some improvement by displaying message that your hard drive can be scratched 
by VMware it self
