I would like to ask again the question in thealco's second point: "Would linked mode give me vSphere redundancy across multiple sites? i.e. if one goes down, the other would just take over."
Is Linked Mode, specifically, an acceptable method to achieve vCenter (5.1) redundancy? Would both linked servers be able to handle vCenter duties alone should the other go down?
Pros and Cons of this method would be helpful as well.
