it seems something humble but may be work..
try to write the last command like that:
partedUtil setptbl "/vmfs/devices/disks/mpx.vmhba2:C0:T1:L0" "gpt" "1 2048 1433415689 AA31E02A400F11DB9590000C2911D1B8 0"
I put ("gpt") instead of (gpt).. try it
